Waiting_for_Daisy_cover.jpg

Description: I could barely put this book down. My kids haven't eaten in two days, and I really should get in the shower soon, which is possible since I finished the book last night.

Peggy Orenstein has a wonderful tale of her road to motherhood. She explores issues of feminism, career, body, aging, marriage, ethics, single-minded desire, desperation and destiny. Her writing style is thought-provoking and warm, and she shows herself warts and all.

Just as Ann Fessler's book gives other triad members a glimpse of what FirstMothers went through, I think Waiting for Daisy gives other triad members an idea of what the infertility experience is like.
Keywords: infertility feminism marriage humor Japan desperation obsession ethics
