Seems like a quality product, but you don't get to use it very long. As soon as baby can arch backwards, they can pop out of it. But in that stage where you're tired of laying them on their back all the time, in swings, bouncers and such, its a wonderful way for baby to get a new look at his surroundings and work on important muscle groups. We loved ours while baby could use it, and recommended it to several friends who loved it as well.

A friend kept trying to get me to buy a Bumbo seat, but I resisted. Finally, she gave her son's to me. I am so glad I didn't buy this! For about 6 weeks, we used it as a booster seat, or we put our son in it while I had to do something standing up, like folding laundry. It allowed us to interact and play with our son more naturally, but he didn't really seem to like being in it too much. I'm not sure if this seat helped him learn to sit up, as the manufacturer claims it does. It was nice to have around, but, really, I wouldn't have bought it.

Child #1: Is that your mother?
Child #2: Yes.
Child #1: Why is she white and you are black?
Child #2: Because I am adopted, and black people have more melanin than white people do.
Child #1: Oh, let's go on the high bars.
