I purchased my John Lennon set second hand on e-bay so I think I got a great deal. I got the 4 piece bedding, mobile, diaper stacker, valances, lamp, diaper bag, night light, crib mirror, some receiving blankets, jaquard blanket, picture frame, dresser knobs, stay dry sheet and the wall border paper for around $125 CAN all together. I bought them in about 3 separate lots.
Based on the use I have had out of the items and the fact that they were used by another child, I am very pleased with how well this product wears. It is still in very nice shape even after being washed.
I love the pattern and I did initially have the same problem with my bumper pad not fitting properly. However, I found that it actually fits on the crib different than most other bumpers that I have used. Rather than tying together in the corner, it ties together in the middle of the long side of the crib. This way, it fits perfectly.
My little guy seems very cozy in his crib. Of course, I'm sure he doesn't care what type of bedding he has, but I love that it is all cotton and that it will hopefully grow with him until he decides that he is into something else. Based on my other two children, I would say, I'm safe to use this bedding for him until he is around 3 or so. I love that it has a lot of colors without being really loud like a disney pattern. There are a lot of options for decorating with it and with baby being in my room with me right now, it is not too out of sorts with our current bedroom decor.
